i havent done much serious thinking in a long time.. so i shall start now..

APPRECIATION- kinda like what u hear at events. "to show our appreciation to mr.xxx we have prepared a gift etc etc". in my opinion, appreciation means that when u do smth, be it projects or favours, the person recognises ur effort and thanks you for it in return. however, appreciation is 2 way, like how a pair of hands can clap. appreciation is given when recieved or vice versa. It's all up to how proud and arrogant a person is in order to given that amount of appreciation, even though it's someone that he doesnt like. i think due appreciation should be given when effort and interest is put into a task. people feel good when they are appreciated. personally, i feel that i glow from inside my body, deep down somewhere in my gut, when someone thanks me or congratulates me. it feels really good and u will never want that feeling to go away. i call it a SENSE of achievement. when i do projects with my friends, i feel it all the time when we get something done, be it 1 powerpoint slide or a whole project. this feeling doesnt go away. it motivates you to do more and more. it helps urself and others.

on the other side of the scale, u dont expect appreciation to come to u when what u do is mediocre. this is reality of the working world. if what you do isnt good enough, dont you dare expect a reward because nobody is gonna give you one. if you think that you havent been appreciated, reflect on urself. if you havent been given appreciation to others, forget about recieving it.

smth i just thought of..

OBEDIENCE - in a christian family, we learn that obedience to parents and God should be paramount. no matter how different u think from ur parents, u should/must still obey your parents for it is right. certianly, there are times where u argue with them because you dont agree, very common in BGR. but we have to remember that they are the ones who bore it all for u. people often say that parents are old fashioned. they are backward in thinking. guess what, they are right. parents ARE old fashioned. but humans will always be humans. just as the way God created us. humans will never change. scientifically, organisms dont evolve within decades. it takes centuries or milleniums to evolve. so for now, humans are still humans. love them and cherish them. for we wont know when God will take them away.
